  • Let's get started. — Thanks for joining, everyone. Let's get started.
  • The goal of this meeting is to… — The goal of this meeting is to decide on the launch date.
  • Let's go over the agenda. — Let's go over the agenda quickly before we dive in.
  • Just to give you some context… — Just to give you some context, the client changed the scope last week.
  • I'll keep this short. — I'll keep this short: we have three decisions to make.

  • Can I jump in here? — Can I jump in here? I have some data on that.
  • I'd like to add something. — I'd like to add something before we move on.
  • Sorry to interrupt, but… — Sorry to interrupt, but I think we skipped a step.
  • Just one quick thing. — Just one quick thing: the deadline moved to Friday.
  • If I may… — If I may, there's a simpler option. (mais formal, boa com cliente)

Para concordar

Um "yes" seco soa curto em inglês. Estas mostram que você acompanhou.

  • That's a good point. — That's a good point. Let's add it to the plan.
  • I'm with you on that. — I'm with you on that. Let's move the date.
  • That works for me. — Tuesday at 10? That works for me.
  • I see it the same way. — I see it the same way. The risk is on the supplier side.

  • I see your point, but… — I see your point, but the numbers tell a different story.
  • I'm not sure I agree. — I'm not sure I agree. Can we look at the data again?
  • I have a different take on this. — I have a different take on this. I think we should wait.
  • That's fair, but have we considered…? — That's fair, but have we considered the cost of delaying?
  • I'd push back on that a little. — I'd push back on that a little. The client never asked for it.
  • With respect, I think… — With respect, I think this timeline is too optimistic. (formal, para quando o clima está tenso)

Para pedir que repitam ou expliquem

Pedir para repetir é normal em reunião. Ruim é ficar quieto e perder o ponto.

  • Sorry, could you say that again? — Sorry, could you say that again? The audio cut out.
  • Just to make sure I understand… — Just to make sure I understand, we're pausing the campaign, right?
  • What do you mean by…? — What do you mean by "phase two"?
  • Can you walk me through that? — Can you walk me through the new process?
  • So, in other words… — So, in other words, we need approval before Friday.

  • That's a good question. — That's a good question. Give me a second.
  • Let me think about that. — Let me think about that. I want to give you a real answer.
  • Off the top of my head… — Off the top of my head, I'd say two weeks.
  • I'll get back to you on that. — I'll get back to you on that by tomorrow.

  • What if we…? — What if we split the project into two phases?
  • I suggest we… — I suggest we test it with a small group first.
  • Let's take this offline. — Let's take this offline and decide by email. ("vamos tratar disso fora da reunião")
  • Who will own this? — Who will own the vendor conversation?
  • By when do we need this? — By when do we need the final version?
  • I'll take care of that. — I'll take care of the follow-up with legal.

Para fechar a reunião

  • To sum up… — To sum up, we launch on the 15th and Maria owns the checklist.
  • Let's recap the action items. — Let's recap the action items before we close.
  • Are we all on the same page? — Are we all on the same page about the deadline?
  • Anything else before we wrap up?
  • I'll send a summary after the call. — I'll send a summary after the call with the next steps.
  • Thanks, everyone. Talk soon.

Subject: Meeting minutes – [Project] – [Date]

Attendees: Ana, John, Priya
Goal: Decide on the launch date

Decisions:
- Launch moved to March 15.

Action items:
- John: update the timeline – by Friday
- Priya: confirm budget with finance – by Wednesday

Open questions:
- Do we need legal review for the new terms?

Next meeting: Monday, 10 a.m.

Frases úteis para o e-mail: "Please find below the minutes from today's meeting." / "Let me know if I missed anything."

  • "I think yes." O certo é I think so. E "acho que não" é I don't think so.
  • "No, that's wrong." Soa agressivo. Comece com I see your point, but…
  • Ficar calado quando se perde. A reunião segue sem você. Sorry, could you say that again? resolve em dois segundos.

Como treinar antes de uma reunião importante

  1. Escreva a pauta em inglês.
  2. Fale a abertura em voz alta duas vezes.

Perguntas frequentes

Preciso decorar todas as frases?

Use uma frase para ganhar tempo, como Let me think about that, e respire.
